Replacing a Star
It happens every season and really should be no surprise by now, but star players go down injured during key time frames and it effects every aspect of Premier League football. The most recent casualty is Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero, who is set to miss 4-6 weeks with a knee injury. An expensive asset in the Fantasy Premier League, Aguero has been on fire this season, but in all honesty he has been extremely injury-prone since making the switch to England in 2011. He now leaves a giant hole at the top of most fantasy squads and must be replaced immediately, but don’t panic. It is important to note: don’t force yourself to purchase another expensive striker simply because you want to trade for an equal value. There are several cheaper options that are more likely to come good and will allow for increased investment with midfield heavy-hitters.
